Ali (Yuan-Ling Chen)

Deviser and performer

Ali Yuraw (Yuan-Ling Chen) is an artist from Taichung, Taiwan, currently training at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. A graduate of the Drama Department at National Taiwan University of Arts, Ali approaches performing arts as both a gateway into and a reflection of life’s complexities.

Recent performances include the immersive work Uncle Barry at the 2025 Side Step Festival, Void Space, and Edinburgh Fringe, as well as the devised physical theatre piece GRID and the sound-led immersive experience  Late Night Submarine at the 2025 Camden Fringe Festival.

Passionately engaging in interdisciplinary collaborations, Ali seeks to expand the possibilities of contemporary theatre, exploring the intersections of movement, sound, and storytelling to create intimate yet boundary-pushing encounters with audiences.
